When it comes to glacier walks and Winter/ice climbing, here comes some tips.
Rope: use a ”dry” or water-repellent type of rope. this do not tend to freeze up as other type of ropes. Sharp tools is also important. Picks and crampons need to be sharpened. For this you can use a small file, something you always should bring with you within this activity. Add a little extra money on good quality file. Never use power grinder, it can couse damage to the Equipment. You also can use for example Locktite to provide extra Insurance that bolts will stay tight.
Always have Sharp Tools….
Always right about that Bergman. A pair of crampons are never sharper than its owners. And ours are like wolfteeths.. I still have my shreded throusers after the avalanche experiense a few years ago..
